About the program
The Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering (PPG-EM) at the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI) began over half a century ago, in 1968, with the implementation of the master’s program in the areas of Fluid Dynamics and Flow Machines (DFMF) and Energy Conversion (CE). In 1996, the program expanded with the creation of the doctoral program, as well as the incorporation of the Design and Manufacturing (PF) area.
Since then, the program has trained numerous professionals who work in educational institutions, research centers, and industries within the national technological landscape. Over its history, the program has produced more than 400 theses and dissertations, making a local, regional, and national impact through its research and the high-quality training of human resources.
